Harper brothers and sisters Charlie and Alan are almost opposites but form a great team. They have little in common except the flu to cold mundane mother and domineering mother, Evelyn. Alan, konpulsivman own chiropractor and control-freak, is thrown out by manipulative Judith, his wife, who but come to him to pay for everything and that work at home. Charlie is a composer coupled independent and irresistible Cassanova who lives in a luxurious beach house and rarely gets up before noon. Charlie for a while Alan and Jake allowed his son, food obsessed, lazy young kid at school who shuttles between his parents, to move in with them after Alans separation / divorce. Sitcom revolves around the lifestyles conflict, raising Jake (who has effective father and taking care while having a fun-loving sugar uncle who teaches him these juvenile), and Baden and Evelyn and various other sorts of friends and relatives ...
